Unearth The Hill’s History
Emerging 736 meters above sea level, the Surveyor’s Hill is essentially the remains of a volcano. The volcano was active more than 360 million years ago. That amazing fact makes your visit to the vineyards more interesting. Can you imagine how many significant events and generations did this volcano surpassed? It is certainly hard to quantify!
The special Surveyor’s Hill Vineyards was initially established in the mid-1980’s. It is among the longstanding plantings in the district. Since it consists of the debris of a volcano, its soils were derived from the weathered Porphyritic rocks. These rocks were formed by the solidification of molten magma and were embedded with crystals in a finer groundmass of minerals.
Enjoy The Harvest Festival

Sip A Glass Or Two
Studies have shown that moderate wine consumption is good for your health. Consider sipping a glass of wine or two at the Surveyor’s Hill while savoring the gorgeous view of the Murrumbidgee Valley and the Brindabella Ranges.
The wines from the vineyards are made only from the grapes that they grew themselves. The freshness of the grapes were retained in the bottles of Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc, and Toringa.
If you are eager to try your very own bottle from Surveyor’s Hill Vineyards, you can head down to their cellar door or have it mailed in your doorsteps. Their friendly bottle prices ranges from AU$10-25!
