Things From the 90s That Every Girl Dreamed Of

Every girl from the 90s has definitely witnessed the extraordinary fashion this era has. From colorful hairpins to pretty dolls, the 90s is heaven to every Kikay girl.

Who wouldn’t want to dress up like the Spice Girls and have that Jolina Magdangal’s hairstyle? It may look ridiculous now but it certainly build-up our fashionista heart.

So, what are the #Goals and #OOTD of a 90s fashionista gal? Here’s a list of the things that you probably owned or wished you have when you were a kid.

Butterfly Pins

Honestly, this is my favorite pin of all time. I actually tried to search if stores are still selling these because I will still buy these nostalgic pins!

When I was still a kid, I remember wearing these butterfly pins and walk bouncily so the butterfly will somehow fly in my hair. Still hoping that Kikay stores will bring these back, though.

Sweet-scented Magic Erasers

Magic pencils are out, magic erasers are in! The funny thing about these erasers is that we actually don’t use it because it’s so precious and they smell incredible!

This is one of the #goal of every Kikay artist and the cause of every fight in the classroom (because no, you can’t borrow my eraser!)

Stick-on Earrings

30 pairs of stick-on earrings, a pair for every day of the month. Yes, these pretty stick-on earrings became a trend in the 90s.

The only problem here is that even though every pair has a scheduled date, we don’t actually follow it because we lost one earring before the day ends.

So, we’re forced to change every hour because these stick-on earrings actually don’t stick!

“Everything-you-need” Pencil Case

You’re not a cool kid if you don’t have this hella big pencil case. It has pencil holders, eraser case, sharpener, schedule holder, push button to open mini compartments, etc.

These pencil cases are also available in different designs of cartoon characters, princesses, and colorful patterns.

Pigtails for the Brave

You won’t actually get the title if you haven’t experience having this bada** pigtail band on your head. It may look cute and nice but once it popped in your head, you’ll scream for your life.

Just like what memes say, “you never understand pain as a child ‘til you had to sit on the in-between your mama’s legs while she yanked ya hair up into these little sh*ts and the ball part snapped against ya skull”

Inflatable Chairs

Yes, this is for real. And I know that you also loved this chair. Ridiculous as it seems but I actually asked this as a graduation gift when I was in kinder. And when they bought me a Hello Kitty inflatable chair, I instantly became the happiest girl on the Earth!

The Ruffle socks

How girly are you? Ruffle sock is the answer. This is the cherry on top of a 90s girls’ closet.

Doll House

Last but definitely not least, the vintage dollhouse. I think this is the number one in every girl’s list. Having this dream dollhouse actually makes us excited to go home after school.

Personally, I believe that playing with dollhouses/dolls (when I was a kid) helped me improved my imagination. And it became a huge help since I write articles every day.

This list of Kikay stuff may seem useless to others but I think it has influence and affect us in an unexplainable way. Hope you enjoyed our nostalgic list and somehow awaken your young, lively hearts!
