Camiguin is an island province in the Philippines located in the Bohol Sea, about 10 kilometers off the northern coast of Mindanao. Known to be the second-smallest province in the country in both population and land area after Batanes. Mambajao is the provincial capital, which is also the province’s largest municipality in both area and population.

 

Sweet Lanzones is famous in the Camiguin province to which its annual Lanzones Festival is dedicated. Mount Hibok-Hibok is also one of the tourist’s favorite. Its Protected Landscape has been declared by all Southeast Asian nations as an ASEAN Heritage Park.

In the 1870s, a volcano (Mt. Vulcan) near this place erupted and caused the cemetery along with the capital city surrounding it to sink below sea level.

 

And to commemorate this place of loss, a cross was built in remembrance. Tourists all over the Philippines and the world come to admire this man-made marvel filled with legend and enchantment.

Yes! Bura Soda Water Swimming Pool is the only soda water pool which is filled with soda water. The volcanic springs of Bura fill two pools with fresh, clear soda water.

Katibawasan Falls is one of the treasured gifts nature has blessed the island of Camiguin. The Falls measures about 250 feet high, the water falls into a rock pool surrounded by trees and boulders.

 

Tourists are always welcome to swim. It is a perfect place to cool off during summer when the weather is hot and humid.

One of the favorites in Camiguin Island. Ardent Hot Spring is located only 10 minutes or 4 km by motorbike from the tourist beaches in Agoho and Yumbing.

 

It is in the mountainside of the famous Hibok – Hibok Volcano, which supplies the hot and crystal clear water.

Hibok-Hibok volcano also known as Catarman Volcano is the youngest volcano on Camiguin. Located at 9 km off the north coast of Mindanao Island, it is one of the active volcanoes in the country and part of the Pacific ring of fire.

Mantigue Island, also known as Magsaysay Island. It’s about 4 hectares of the white beach of powdery sand.

 

The island was declared as a marine sanctuary. The water around the island is so clear that scuba diving and snorkeling is highly recommended.
