Eating is one of our nation’s favorite pastimes. How can we not fall in love with Filipino food if we have a symphony of flavors in our own halls?
The abundance of dishes in the Filipino cuisine stems from its colonial roots (i.e., from Spain, China, and America) and its neighboring Asian countries such as Malaysia and Indonesia. Not to mention, the 120 diverse ethnic groups contributed to the archipelago’s prosperous culinary identity.
The Philippine Department of Tourism in Australia and New Zealand as well as The Grace Hotel recognize our rich cuisine which goes beyond the dichotomous flavors of salty and sweet. As they usher the much-awaited “10th Flavours of the Philippines Food Festival”, the Grace Hotel will be home to the delectable slate of Filipino food once more.
Indulge in a sumptuous and satisfying buffet filled with beloved Filipino dishes that are arranged by esteemed chefs that were flown from the Philippines solely for this occasion. The skillful chefs that I am referring to are Chefs Myrna Segismundo, Raul Ramos, Gilda Sandique, Mariano Catamin Jr., and Marie Angeli San Diego. For two weeks, they are tasked to curate classic and modern Filipino dishes to ensure that this event is like no other.
Both lunch and dinner buffets will be served at the elegant and historic Grace Brasserie. The satisfying menu includes:
You may notice that the staple Adobo dish is decked to display its many forms. Starting with the tasty Beef Caldereta and ending with the delightful Halo-Halo.
