If you’re an avid fan of hair blogs, you may have heard the term ‘No-Poo’ method hundreds of time. Many bloggers and influencers have tested this method and the results are quite amazing.

This method might seem a little bit weird for others. The no-poo method is simply washing your hair with gentle alternatives such as baking soda, apple cider vinegar, or even just water only. People adopted this method to avoid the harsh chemicals often included in regular shampoos.

No-poo method Products

Here’s a list of some products that can be included in the no-poo method:

  • Baking soda and apple cider vinegar
  • Coconut oil
  • Olive oil and tea tree oil
  • Fenugreek oil
  • Lemon juice

According to one testimony, baking soda shampoo literally saved her hair. After switching to the ‘no-poo’ method, her hair has more body, volume, and strength. So, how can we make a baking soda shampoo?

  • Mix 2 -3 tbsp of baking soda with 3 parts water
  • Add 10 drops lavender essential oil and shake well
  • Apply it in the shower directly onto your scalp. It’s not going to foam like traditional shampoo
  • Let it sit for 1 – 3 minutes then rinse with warm water
  • Follow up with a conditioner or apple cider vinegar rinse

Apple Cider Vinegar rinse can help eliminate static and frizz. Mix 1 part white or apple cider vinegar with 4 parts water, and thoroughly apply it to your hair and scalp. Wait a few minutes and rinse it with warm water.

But this also goes with a warning especially to people who have sensitive scalps. You might want to try it once in every two weeks then observe if the result is good.

If the baking soda shampoo is effective to your hair and scalp, then it’s time to get rid all of your old hair products that contain harmful ingredients.
