7 Simple Rules to Feel Happier Every Day

Have you ever felt so drained? Like nothing in this world can refill your motivation. Or do you feel like every day is just like yesterday except the date changed?


If you answered ‘yes’ to those questions, you’ll probably want to follow these simple rules that can make you feel happier every day.

As they say, we are uniquely beautiful in our own ways. Accept your color, your body shape, your age, and your flaws.


When you finally accept yourself, insecurities will vanish into thin air. Just like the famous quote says:


“Once you’ve accepted your flaws, no one can use them against you.” — George R.R. Martin 

  1. Get seven to nine hours of sleep

If you think that sleep can’t affect you, well, you’re on the wrong path of life. Having enough sleep actually affects your productivity.


I understand that some of us need to work at different shifts but always make sure that you’ll have at least seven hours of sleep.

This can actually turn a normal day into a fruitful day. I actually use to do this from time to time, and when you say ‘random act of kindness’, money is not an issue.


Helping an old lady carry a large bag when she’s about to climb the stairs at the LRT station, smiling to a stranger, and giving away my takeout food to the homeless.


Doing these things actually gave me motivation and purpose to live a better life.

Do you believe in the Law of Attraction? The Law of Attraction is the belief that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person’s life.


When you’re surrounded by happy people, there is a huge chance that their aura will affect yours.

Some of you may laugh at this but some people consider gossiping as their hobby. I don’t know what’s the point here, but why don’t we just mind our own business.


Okay, I’m not washing my hands here. I also talk about other peoples’ lives but I don’t add stuff just to make them look bad.


There are two types of gossipers: first, people who talk about others because they are concerned or needed an update. The second are the people who spread gossip with added stories (that are not true) for the sake of making that person look bad to others.

Again, the law of attraction. If you are surrounded by toxic friends and co-workers, then you’re just wasting your life.


Eliminating toxic people and saying ‘no’ is not being rude when you have the right reason. Always put your self first. For you to be happier, you need to cut people who drag you down.

  1. Forgive yourself

If you read my other articles about how to live a better life, I always say this. Always forgive yourself because you are not perfect. But it doesn’t mean that you’ll stop trying to be the person that you’re meant to be.


Self-love is always the key to a happy life, love yourself first before loving others. And lastly, don’t mind what other people say, it’s your life. You know better.
